Okay, so Zacharius was walking on air. Well, not literally, but you get the idea. He was basically on cloud nine at the moment. Which was a highly rare occurrence for him. Zacharius and cloud nine were never used in the same sentence anymore, it hadn't been that way since he was about ten years old on Christmas Morning. He was excited and he could feel it thrumming in his veins as the adrenaline began to pump through his blood, causing him to become exhilarated, his heart beat speeding up within his chest. Zach hadn't been this way in a long time. At least, not when it came to a woman. He felt the adrenaline coursing through him whenever he was chasing someone down or making an arrest but then, it still didn't feel like this. Zach appreciated Nora's bravery as she touched his chest and then looped her arms around his neck. After he had kissed her neck, he had almost expected her to back out.

And yet she didn't. No, she stayed and she watched his face and she listened to him as he told her that it was time that trouble found her because she needed some excitement in her life. She started to reply, questioning him a bit, but he cut her off as his head lowered and his lips touched her very briefly. He had seen her eyes close just seconds before his lips had touched down and he could tell that she had been expecting it, and yet, the touch had shocked her. Zacharius liked that. He pulled back and watched as a smile crept over her beautiful face as one of her hands came down from behind his neck, made a path over his chest and back, before finally landing on his cheek.

When it did, she spoke up again, finishing off the question he knew she had tried to ask moments before. Nora wanted to know if she needed to be scared for her life. He could tell that she was both kidding and not and he respected that. So, in as much seriousness he could muster, he responded, staring at her lips as he did so. "Not with me." he told her sincerely, his head lowering back down to her as he captured her mouth again ever so gently, their bodies swaying to the music softly. This causing dismay in the girls around them. Zacharius didn't even notice them.

Nora could only imagine how her sister, Peyton, was going to react when she told her about tonight. She wasn't sure what to expect, but she knew it wouldn't be all that good. And it wasn't like Nora couldn't just not tell her. That would be wrong. Nora didn't hide things from her sister, especially if it was things like this. Besides, Peyton would always find out in the end if Nora had decided she was going. And if that were the case, things definitely wouldn't end well at all. But Nora would never do that to her sister. She couldn't keep things from her sister and she didn't want to either. But what was making her nervous was how her sister was going to react. Would she hate Nora? No. Surely not. She might be disappointed because they both know that Zach meant trouble. But Nora didn't really know what to expect. She was just going to have to wait and see. She just hoped that Peyton wouldn't see too badly to it. But Nora had to also see where all this was leading anyway before she thought about telling Peyton about it.

Zacharius had intimidated Nora ever since they first met. He always had. He was still intimidating her right now. However, though intimidating he was at the moment, Nora didn't want to get away. She was just hooked on him. She looked at him, moving to the music, her eyes locked on his. She continued to look at him before he then answered her question. She wondered if he picked up on the seriously behind the question and not just the teasing. But then he spoke. Three words. Three one syllable words. Not with him. She didn't need to be scared for her life with him. Could she trust him? Surely she would have no need to be scared for her life. How dangerous was he exactly? He was only human. It wasn't like he was some dangerous wanted killer. But her thoughts were interrupted when Zach's lips were on hers again. Her legs felt as though they were ready to give way. Her lips parted, holding the kiss longer and adding more intensity as they moved to the music. Half of her felt slightly awkward as they kissed with so many people around them. Nora could feel eyes watching them. It made her a bit shy and she let go of the kiss and looked at him. "Is that a promise, Zach Moore?" she asked, her voice low in her breath.

Zach was intrigued indeed. Nora, whom he had always thought would shy away from him if he tried to kiss her, was sticking to him even more and he liked it. Enjoyed it. Was amused by it. Her actions gave him the confidence he had lost a moment before. Her kisses were better than he could have ever imagined, and as cliche as that sounded, it was quite true. No, Zacharius hadn't expected her to be a terrible kisser or anything but the reality was a lot better than his imagination. She asked if she should be afraid for her life and Zach kissed her softly after telling her that she didn't have to him be with him. Zacharius, as tough as he was, would never hurt her. In fact, he would protect her with his life if it came down to it. He was a bounty hunter, sure, but the hunter really never became the hunted. Especially not in this field of work. So, he was safe and, in turn, so was she.

After a moment she broke their kiss and looked up at him, asking if that was a promise. With a charming, boyish grin, he answered her. "It's whatever you want it to be, love." he said, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead as they continued to sway. "You're not uncomfortable with this, are you?" he asked, instantly becoming concerned for a moment just out of the blue. He wondered why he was thinking that but he felt the urgent need to make sure that she was okay with him being so close and kissing her like that. Zacharius didn't want to overstep his boundaries with her, as much as he also kind of wanted to.

Something that Nora had to hand it to Zach was that he was a good kisser. They're kisses weren't exactly extremely passionate and intense, but they may as well have been. They were simple. Their kisses only seemed intense and passionate because of all the tension between Nora and Zach alone. Zach might not have minded about getting in close with Nora, but Nora had. It was awkward, because she'd always been so freaked by him. She had always tried to block herself from him and yet she couldn't help when she felt attracted to him. This created the tension. People would think that if someone made a person uncomfortable, they'd avoid that person. No, Nora just felt more attracted to Zach ... even if she didn't want to. It scared her. It wasn't anything like herself. She questioned who she even was anymore because of it.

Nora looked at him, waiting for his answer. She noticed his charming, boyish grin and felt like melting. She hated, yet loved, when he smiled. She only hated it because it was just gorgeous and she felt weak, which was enough reason ... if it were actually real hate in the first place. But Nora had never actually hated him. She was just intimidated by him. That was it. She closed her eyes as he kiss her forehead before looking back at him. "I'm not sure what i want it to be." she said. Nora then tilted her head as she looked up at him. She wasn't sure what he meant by this. Was this what she had been thinking, with the awkward stares all around them. Or was he talking about him being to close to her and kissing her. Or was there some other reason? Yes, the awkward stares were sort of getting to her a tiny bit. But she still wasn't sure how she felt about their closeness and kissing. She opened her mouth, not knowing what she was going to say before closing it again. She then brushed hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear, looking at him. "Um ... i don't know." she answered, which was true. She wasn't sure if she was feeling uncomfortable, or just a little taken back by it all.

Zacharius was fascinated by Nora to say the least. No, not in a stalker, 'im gonna rape her' way but more of a, she's amusing. Yeah, that was it. Zach was amused by the way that she acted and their kisses were better than he had expected. They sent little shock waves through his blood, causing it to heat up. Which was interesting. Being on the dance floor with Nora was a bit different than being on the dance floor with any other female. Zacharius couldn't put his finger on why but it interested him nonetheless. With a mental shake, he focused on Nora's words and basically told her that what they had could be anything that she wanted it to be. She told him that she didn't know what she wanted it to be and he nodded, not pushing the subject any further. He then realized that she might uncomfortable with him looming over her. So, like the gentleman he is, he asked her. She said she wasn't sure.

Zacharius smiled at her words and kissed her forehead. He had her flustered, that was for sure. Inside, he was beaming but on the outside, he was fairly cool and he had a calm demeanor about him. The two continued to dance a bit and he let his gaze fall from her face for a moment in order to look about the room. He caught looks from other females, ones that were lusty and others that were full of daggers. And others still who just didn't care. Smirking to himself, he turned his attention back to his new date and smiled brightly. "Why don't we get out of here?" he asked calmly. "Maybe take a walk or something." he suggested with a small shrug of his broad shoulders. "Unless, of course, you want to stay and dance. Or maybe have another drink." Zach really didn't mind what they did. That was why he usually left the plans up to the lady he was with. Tonight, the lady happened to be Nora.
